I totally love the bar stools and island kitchen but I am moving into a one bedroom rental apt soon
very small kitchen. It has a very tiny kitchen and one small rectangular hole in the wall where maybe I can put one barstool. I am wondering if you could give me ideas about what can I do in terms of furniture so that I can get a similar effect. Thanks

By not knowing what the space looks like it's hard to say but here are a few small kitchen tips: If you don't have a window put up a mirror (maybe one with a design painted on it), use a pot rack ( even a small one gives more space and a cool look), get a large butcher block (you can store it over your sink (like a cover for more counter top space).
As to the island and the hole in the wall you can add a piece of finished wood to the bottom of the opening ( so that it sticks out a little on each side) and then brace on either side with L brackets (leaves only a few small holes) pull up a bar stool and you are ready to eat!
